Village Bela
The village of Bela (Vidin district) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in municipality Dimovo. It is situated 5.6 km. South of town of Dimovo, on the main road E79 Vidin - Montana. Adjacent to the Bela are villages of Dulgo pole, Ostrokaptsi and Granitovo. A railway line pass through the village. The name of the village comes from the white clay (white = byal/belo), which abounds in the area. Near Bela flows river of Archar.
Bela village exists since the 18th century. Village of Bela was the summer residence of Vidin Ivan Sratsimir (Sratsimiritsa area).
Sightseeing:
- Boyan Chonos Monument.
- The closed church.
- Near the canton, where the road crosses the railway line, is situated waterfall "Bobuka" (around 20 m high)
- In Upper Bella area is situated the well named "VRELO", which provides water to over 30 villages from the region.
