Village Targovishte
The village of Targovishte (different from town of Targovishte) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Chuprene (Vidin District). The neighbour villages are Varbovo, Chuprene, Replyana, Protopopintsi and Borovitsa. Through the village passes Chuprenska river suitable for recreation and fishing.
History: The village of Targovishte was founded in XVIII century between 1750 and 1800 from some traders from where the name of the village comes (trader in Bulgarian is targovets).
Sights: There is a Memorial in fallen in wars of 1912-1913 and 1915-1918. Near the village is situated forest "Zmeeva gora" and cave "Tumna dupka".
