History: The earliest traces of life in these places are dated from 10,000 years ago (the remains discovered during archaeological excavations of ancient settlements around the villages near the village Chuprene and locality Lalkingrad). For the origin of the village name there are 3 versions: The name comes from "chula" - a beautiful girl, by "Chuprina" - a bunch of trees or from "Cuprija" - bridge.
Sightseeing:
- In the last years were open eco-paths, giving opportunities for eco-tourism
- Other landmarks are the clock tower in the center of the village, the church, and the museum Asen Balkanski.
