The village of Veshtitsa (Vidin district) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in municipality Belogradchik. It is situated 10.57 km. Northwest of town of Belogradchik. Neighboring villages are Struindol, Varba and Slivovnik. For fans of fishing - the river of Slashka passes through the village.

There is an interesting story about the creation of the village: a legend tells there was a Turk farm in this place. Going around his land the Turk saw several Bulgarian women who bathe in the river. The Turkish forced to flee shouting "Witches, Witches ..!!!" ("veshtitsa" means "witch" in Bulgarian). After the Liberation he left his farm and several Bulgarian workers settled there the village.
