Village Valchek

The village of Valchek (Vidin district) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in municipality Makresh. It is situated 8.99 km. East of the municipal center Makresh. Neighbour places are the villages of Makresh, Sratsimirovo and Vartop. The village is 2 kilometers away from the railway station of Makresh line and the main road Sofia - Vidin. The Vidbol river passes through the village and the dam of Farfun is at close distance.

History: The village appears in the records of the Principality of Bulgaria from 1878. It was formed as a location of an important road connecting Vidin with the town of Kula and republic of Serbia, where traders and packer used inn of grandfather Valcho who was the first settler.
