Municipality Hissarya

Hissarya municipality is situated on the southern slopes of Sredna Gora Mountain, at 360 m altitude above sea level. The climate is transitional continental with hot summer, mild winter, warm spring and autumn. The precipitation is less than the average for Bulgaria. The snow cover is short-lasting - it stays for 28 days on average.
The economy of the Hisarya region is based on the development of tourism, agriculture and industry. The combination of favorable climate with mineral springs, the preserved natural environment and rich cultural-historical heritage, the established modern facilities, the available human resources, are primary factors for the municipality`s development make the town of Hissar a national and international spa and mountain resort with potential for development of all types of tourism.
