Municipality Krichim
The Krichim municipality is is situated in the southwest end of the county of Plovdiv in the area called "North Rhodope Collar". This area occupies a part of the open country of Pazardzhik and Plovdiv and covers the outskirts of the northern slopes of the Rhodope Mountains. The Municipality Krichim borders the following municipalities: Stamboliyski, Perushtitsa, Rodopi, Devin and Bratsigovo. It occupies a total area of 50,000 dca. The municipal center town of Krichim (distance 20 km from Plovdiv city) is the only populated settlement on its territory.
On the territory of the Municipality there is a mineral spring. Its water is described as isothermal low-mineralised, hydrocarbonate calcium-sodium, with no sanitary or chemical indications of contamination. Natural mineral water can be used for drinking balneotherapy and prophylactics.
