Village Varnik

The village of Varnik (Haskovo district) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is included in municipality Svilengrad. The village is very small and depopulated. It is situated near the border with Turkey about four kilometers from the village Matochina. Until some time ago in the village was located a military frontier post (Komendatura), which today is not functioning.
Varnik has a good location and there are plenty of underground water and fertile land, but the area is very deserted.
