The village of Gorno pole (Haskovo District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Madjarovo. It is situated in the north-eastern part of the Rhodope Mountain not far away from town of Madjarovo. The region radiates the spirit of the Thracian times. A rocky tomb - Thracian cultural monument dating back to the 1st Century BC - was discovered in the region of Furnadjica, 2km northeast of Gorno Pole. The ancient findings (among which tombs, fortresses and sanctuaries) and the virgin nature have turned the region into a popular tourism spot.
