Village Gradeshnitsa

The village of Gradeshnitsa is located in Vratsa district (North-West Bulgaria), and is one of the villages in municipality Krivodol. It is situated 18.5 km. north of the municipal center town of Krivodol. Neighbour of Gradeshnitsa are the villages of Gromshin, Dobrusha and Baurene. Along the village passes river of Ogosta which is suitable for fishing.

Sightseeing:
- Near the village is located Gradeshnitsa monastery.
- In the fortress near the village are found traces of the Antiquity - lots of pottery and "The Tile of Gradeshnitsa" which is one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the Chalcolithic in the world (Middle or second half of the IV-th millennium BC). The tile with scripts was found in 1969  in Chalcolithic cultural layer, which belongs to the middle and second half of the IV-th millennium BC.
The sctipt from Gradeshnitsa, Karanovo and Tartaria (Romania) is an evidence about a well-developed culture of the peoples inhabiting the Balkan Peninsula in this times as the civilizations of Asia Minor, Middle East and Egypt.
