The village of Baurene (Vratsa District) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Krivodol. It is situated 12.94 km. north of the municipal town of Krivodol, at the end of a road connecting to the main road Vratza - Montana, some 25km away. The village is charming, medium sized, surrounded by sheltering forested hills. Neighboring villages are Rakevo, Dobrusha and Galatin.

History: In the past, the village of Baurene was a pottery center. Evidence for this are numerous remains of pottery found while processing of the agricultural lands around. There were discovered also many remains of houses, tools and Roman coins.
