Village Bukovets

The village of Bukovets (Vratsa District) is a delightful village with surrounding wooded granite hills situated at the foot of the Fore-Balkan.  It is located in North-West Bulgaria, 21.26 km. south of Biala Slatina and 30km from the regional center town of Vratsa. The village is part of Byala Slatina Municipality. 
There are suitable conditions for the development of country tourism. The region is suitable for fishing and hunting (wild boar and deer). There are rivers and large fishing lake near village of Bukovets.

Sightseeing:
- In the district of Gradovska chukla (above the village ), are found the ruins of fortifications with two walls - internal and external. Located at the top of the hill and descend step down as a strategic role because it has 360 degree vision around.
- The oldest site in the village of Bukovets is the church of St. Nicholas, built in the early Middle Ages by the Crusaders who camping in the area of Kreta and initially was a watchtower.
