Town Byala Slatina
Town of Byala Slatina (Vratsa District) is located in the center of northwestern Bulgaria upon the ledges of the Skat River, at altitude 126 m. It is situated at almost equal distances from the Danube River and the Fore Balkan Mountain, 48 km northeast of the administrative center town of Vratza. The town is the center of Byala Slatina Municipality and a station on the railway line Cherven Bryag - Oryahovo.
The climate is continental. In the summer there are long heats and in the winter it is very cold with lots northeast winds. The average annual temperature is 10-12`C.
Sightseeing:
- Monument of Hristo Botev`s detachment Kolyo Radev-Cherkessia - located at his grave in the courtyard of the temple of St. Paraskeva.
- Monument of revolutionary poet Nikolai Hrelkov - located in the central city park.
- Monument "Perkata" ("The blade") of perished during II World War Soviet pilots. It is situated at one of the hills northeast of town in the area named "Lesoparka".
- Tsola Dragoycheva monument, located at the central town square.
- Monument of anti-fascist Balgoy Monov - located in the courtyard of the St.Kliment Ohridski High school.
