Village Balsha
The village of Balsha (Sofia-city District) is located in South-West Bulgaria and consists to the Municipality Stolichna. It is situated in foot of Stara Planina mountain, 20 km North-West from the capital city of Sofia (at end of Sofiaplain). Some of the most important landmark of Balsha village are the Balsha monastery and the old church (part of old monastery Sveti Velkomachenik Theodor Stratelat). The walls, dome part over Southern wall and a part of upside cover are preserved. Church walls were murals painted all through. Now some upside parts are preserved, as well as Southern and Western walls.
