Novo selo municipality is located in North-West Bulgaria in Vidin District. The Municipality consists of 5 villages. The regional center of the municipality is village of Novo selo wich is situated 24 km away from Vidin city (there is road connection between them).

The soil and climate in the region of Novo Selo are quite favorable for wine-culture and wine production. The location of the population centers on the Danube River bank and the closeness of the vineyard massifs and winery offer a chance for rural tourism development - with demonstration of the wine production.

There is a port in Novo Selo village, which can be used for cargo loading and unloading and for coasting of ships carrying tourists.

3 km away from Novo Selo village, on the river bank, is situated the Kamaka picturesque locality, where a children summer camp has been built. The beaches on the Danube in Novo Selo, Florentin and Yassen are beautiful, enjoyable and convenient for swimming.

A traditional event is the annual summer planner of artists from Danube-river countries, which is hosted by Novo Selo. The participants in the international Danube regatta TID arrive at the coast at Novo Selo every year.
