Village Batoshevo

The Village of Batoshevo is located in North-Central Bulgaria. It is included in Municipality Sevlievo (Gabrovo District). The village is situated on the road Apriltsi - Sevlievo /14 km away from town of Sevlievo/. The distance to Gabrovo is 25km and to Sofia 170km.

Landmarks: The Batoshevo Male Monastery "Uspenie Bogorodichno" stands several kilometers away from the village. It was built in 13th century. During the Ottoman slavery it was destroyed. It was reconstructed in 1836. Its most important value is the iconostasis - a masterpiece of the Tryavna Wood-carving School.
In the village of Batoshevo is the female monastery "Vavedenie Bogorodichno", founded in 17th century.
