Village Stoyanovtsi
The village of Stoyanovtsi (Vratsa district) is located in North-Western Bulgaria and is part from municipality Roman. It is distanced 6.92 km. east of the municipal center - town of Roman. Neighboring of Stoyanovtsi are village of Belentsi and town of Roman. Through the village passes Belyanska river which is suitable for fishing.
History: The old name of the village of Stoyanovtsi is Kirilovo. Villagers from Kirilovo are participants in the partisan movement in Bulgaria from 1941 to 1944. The name comes from the brothers Stoyanovi which were organized the youth from the village to become guerrillas. In April 1944 they are included in the squad Georgi Benkovski. On June 26, 1944 many of them were killed in heavy combat in locality "Cherni Dol" near village of Brusen.
