Village Vasil Levski

The village of Vasil Levski (Stara Zagora District) is located in South-Eastern Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Opan. It is a small but well developed village providing all necessary amenities for living: a post office, a medical center, shops, cafes and  a small restaurant. The Village of Vasil Levski has good location - really short distance driving away from the Bulgarian - Turkish and Bulgarian - Greece checkpoint of Kapitan Andreevo near the town of Svilengrad (about 50km away). The town of Haskovo is at distance of 25km, the town of Harmanli is about 20km and the closest is town of Simeonovgrad at 9km driving distance.
The area is suitable for fishing because of artificial lakes located near by.

At the territory of village of Vasil Levski were found several burial mounds and remains of ancient, medieval, near-historic and present settlements (Thracian, Greek-Roumelian, Persian paramilitary village , Roman, Turkish, etc.).
