The village of Yakovtsi (Veliko Turnovo District) is located in North-Central Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Elena. It is situated in Elena`s mountain, 5km west from town of Elena. The name comes from the name of the first settler Yako.
The whole area around is unique with its beautiful nature. West from the Yakovtsi village is Yovkovtsi dam lake that attracts people who like fishing. There are also conditions for developing of rural tourism in Yakovtsi and in the neighbouring villages Stoychevtsi and Sredni kolibi.
