Municipality Nessebar

The Municipality of Nesebar takes the northern part of the Black Sea coast of the district of Burgas. Its northern border is with the Municipalities of Byala and Dolni Chiflik, its western border - with the Municipality of Pomorie, and its eastern border is the Black Sea. The long coastline and its diversity character create favourable conditions for the tourism development. The municipal center town of Nessebar is located at 20 km from international airport Bourgas.
There are 3 towns (Nesebar, Obzor, Sveti Vlas), 11 villages and 2 tourist complex (Sunny beach and Elenite) in the municipal territory.
The main factor that influences the processes on the territory of the district of Burgas is its situation on the Black Sea coast. Its nature provides very good opportunities for the development of recreation tourism using the suitable coastline and sea water with its recreation potential, but it is restricted only  to the summer months by the conditions of the climate, because of the unfavourable temperatures and the strong winds during the rest of the seasons.
