Village Beden

A road fork from the road Pamporovo - Devin leads to the pretty village of Beden (means poor) spread over the slope. Beden is perched on a sunny southern hillside between the ancient fortress Beadnos and the Beden mineral springs by the river.
The studies report that the water of Beden springing with a temperature of 76oC is the second best for the cure of bone and skin diseases after the water in the Czech Republic `s Carlovi Vari spa. There is a spa on the road between Devin and Shiroka Laka. It is planned to organize in the near future a modern spa complex in the village neighborhood.
The hospitable people of Beden will welcome you with a smile and see you out with “Peace” - this is the inscription on the reverse side of the signboard when you go out of the village.
