Village Baba Tonka
The village of Baba Tonka (Turgovishte District) is located in North-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Popovo. It is situated in eastern part of "Danube plain", 16 km south of municipal center town of Popovo. An asphalt road Popovo - Antonovo passes the village. Neighboring villages are Slavyanovo, Zvezda, Berkovski, Braknitsa and Goritsa.
Sightseeing: traces of ancient settlements and necropolis; Temple Church "holy Christmas of Holy Mary" (from 1940); memorial - Baba Tonka monument in a park area, monument dedicated to the fallen in the Wars inhabitants of the village (open 23.09.2006)
