Municipality Venets
The Venets Municipality is located in northeastern Bulgaria, Shumen district.The relief that prevails is flat-hilly. The altitude is about 200 m above sea level. 91% of the whole population is of Turkish origin, 5.79% are Roma, 1.75% is Bulgarians and 1.42% is of other ethnic origin.

The Palamara State Game-Breeding Reserve is 3 km away from the municiapl center village of Venets. It is one of the oldest game reserves in Bulgaria established in 1932 by the Bulgarian king Boris III as a Royal Hunting Ground. The main branches of the Reserve`s activity are the game-breeding /red deer/ and international tourism. The rich and varied available food allows for the maintaining of a substantial reserve of large game: red deer, wild boar and roe deer.
