Village Shtruklevo
The village of Shtruklevo (Rousse district) is located in North-Central Bulgaria and is included in municipality Ivanovo. It is situated 17 kilometers south of the town of Ruse, near the picturesque valley of the River "Rusenski Lom". The old name of the village was Kadakyoy.
Sightseeing: At area along the river Beli Lom, between the villages of Pisanets and Nisovo, were found remains of a village called "Galicia"; The Church St. Nikolay - built during the Ottoman rule over the ruins of the first church in Shtraklevo - St. George and burnt down in beginning of slavery. In 1927 the church was broken down again and there was erected the current building - massive three-nave basilica, built as a small model of Alexander Nevsky church in Sofia, with a high bell tower and three bells.
