Village Gorna Beshovitsa

The village of Gorna Beshovitsa is located in Vratsa district (North-Western Bulgaria), and is one of the villages in municipality Mezdra. It is situated 14.86 km. northeast of the municipal center - Mezdra. Adjacent to the village of Gorna Beshovitsa are the villages of Dolna Beshovitsa, Kalen and Tsakonitsa. Through the village passes Kosmatitsa river suitable for fishing.

Landmarks: In the center of the village is situated the church of St. Demetrius, built before the liberation of Bulgaria and declared an architectural monument. Southwest of the village is situated a prehistoric settlement, declared a cultural monument. The village has a monument devoted to Died in the Wars for the Liberation of Bulgaria.
