Village of Relyovo, Samokov

The village of Relyovo is located in South-West Bulgaria and is part of Municipality Samokov (Sofia District). It is nestled at the southern base of the Plana mountain ranges at distance of 50km from the capital city of Sofia and 21km from municipal center town of Samokov and 3km from Belchin bani spa resort. The geological position brings the good fortune of a moderate continental climate with mostly sunny days during the Spring and Summer months. The beautiful Palakaria River is a 5 minute walk away.
Landmarks:
In the centre of Relyovo there is a monument of Alexi Mishev, who was killed in the 1923 September Anti Fascist Rebellion.
The church "Saint Archangel Michael" built 1912-25 and renovated, has valuable wood carvings and frescoes.
