The small village of Beli Iskar is huddled in the folds of the majestic Rila mountain (South-West Bulgaria) at 1200 m. above the Sea level. It is included in Sofia district. Beli Iskar is just 8 km north-west of resort Borovets (Bulgaria`s oldest ski resort) and around 5 km from the town of Samokov. The village is also part of the new project "Borovets-Samokov-Beli Iskar" with the ambition to develop as a kind of winter center. The region is ecologically clean. At an altitude of 500 meters above sea level starts the ground of the Rila National Park, offering very good tourist opportunities. There is an eco-path of 7 kilometers, which is a wonderful place for hiking and relaxation.
