Krepcha center

The village of Krepcha (Turgovishte District) is located in North-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Opaka. It is situated in hilly area along the valley of "Bash punar" river, 20 km north of town of Popovo. The village borders with villages Garchinovo, Lyublen, Golyamo Gradishte, Gorsko Ablanovo and town of Opaka. Krepcha is connected with asphalted roads with towns of Opaka and Popovo and with villages Garchinovo, Lyublen and Golyamo Gradishte.

The area is rich of ruins - fortresses, settlements and necropolises of ancient and medieval. The main landmark is Krepcha Rock Monastery, located 2km from the village. The monastery complex, together with the cells of monks, is disposed at three levels (terraces) on the rocky wreath. Except cells, It includes also a Monastery church and a church-tomb. At the walls and cells of church there are Cyrillic, Hebrew and runic signs and letters.
Other points of interests are the fortresses "Jin Kale" and "Buyuk Kale".
