The village of Obedinenie is located in North-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Polski Trambesh Municipality, Veliko Turnovo District. The village is situated in the heart of the Danube plane, 30 km far away from the old Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo and the same distance from the beautiful town of Svishtov and the Danube river. Near Obedinenie passsed the ancent road conected the important Roman citys Nicopolis Ad Istrum (near Nikiup) and Nove (near Svishtov). In its history the village was devided on two separate hamlets - Tencha and Mekish. From 1941 to 1947 there was union of thiese hamlets and new village was named "Prince Simeon" in the name of Bulgarian crown prince (in latest history of Bulgaria Simeon Saxe-Coburg was Bulgarian prime minister from 2001 to 2005). When the comunists forced the authority the name of the village was changed to Botevo. It was just for 6 moths. Then the name was changed to Obedinenie which meand "united" - the symbol of agreement of the old two villages. In 1971 there was founded thermal water near the village and there is a chanse village of Obedinenie to be developed as SPA resort and tourist atraction in next years.
